Course Description
A comprehensive experience of conversion is essential for spiritual transformation and a vital piety. Join us as we examine the theology of religious experience, exploring the nature and character of Christian conversion, Christian initiation and spiritual change. Learn to think critically and theologically about religious experience in general, with a particular focus on the nature and character of conversion, and discover the theological rationale for approaches to Christian initiation that foster spiritual formation. Finally, cultivate self-knowledge and personal transformation through a deeper understanding of your own conversion experience.Winter 2026: This course will meet on the weekends of January 23-24, February 27-28, and April 10-11. Gordon T. Smith
Teaching Fellow
Gordon T. Smith is the Executive Director for Christian Higher Education Canada. Prior to this he served as President and Professor of Theology and Spiritual Theology at Ambrose University in Calgary, Alberta. He currently serves as a Teaching Fellow at Regent College. His publications include Welcome, Holy Spirit: A Theological and Experiential Introduction (IVP, 2019) and Your Calling Here and Now: Making Sense of Vocation (IVP, 2021).
