INDS 500
Theology for Life
Course Description
The study of theology as a multidisciplinary endeavour promises to transform all aspects of our lives, many of which have been reduced, fragmented, and compartmentalized by the pressures of our (post)modern age. In this foundational course, students will be introduced to the major themes of Regent’s theological vision for life in Christ in whom “all things hold together” (Col. 1:17). This integrative understanding of ‘theology for life’ is centred in communion with our triune God, and radiates through how we read Scripture, think theologically, and participate missionally in all our callings as embodied human creatures living and working in a complex and frequently perplexing world.Students starting their MACS, MATS, and MDiv programs should take this course at the beginning of their studies. Students in the Diploma are strongly encouraged to take this course if they are considering continuing with a master’s program.
