Registration Officer
Part-time (up to 21 hours per week), permanent
The Registration Officer is responsible for planning, communication and implementation of the registration processes and policy. Reporting to the Director of Student Services, the Registration Officer is responsible for coordinating with different department areas to ensure timely and efficient implementation of registration operations along with providing excellent customer service to students.
The hourly wage range for this position is $26-$27.50/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, manages and organizes course and registration information into the College registration system (REGIS)
- As a specialist in the registration process, provides suggestions for continual process improvement and process optimization
- Oversees and ensures accurate and clear communication for registration processes
- Responds to registration inquiries by phone, email and in person
- Registers students in courses through online and manual registrations
- Communicates with students on matters related to registration process and policy including items such as process and procedures, dates and deadlines, and scheduling
- Verifies billing accuracy for registration and tuition benefits
- Liaises with UBC regarding changes and updates to Student Fees with AMS. Conducts Regent student information uploads to UBC’s information system
- Provides relief/support for student services operations including reception
Qualifications:
- Understands and supports the ethos and mission of Regent College as articulated in the Theological Position (http://www.regent-college.
edu/about- us/theological-position) - Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of work experience in an administrative position
- Experience using a student information system in a post-secondary institution and familiarity with Regent College programming and services will be considered an asset
- Comfort and proficiency with MS Excel, Word and database programs
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when managing a high volume of work
- A demonstrated ability to use sound judgement when making decisions, establishing priorities and working with minimal supervision
- The ability to deal diplomatically and tactfully with the public
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service orientation
- A positive, can-do attitude
