Post-Doctoral Teaching Fellow in New Testament
Regent College is pleased to announce a post-doctoral fellowship in New Testament, covering a leave. The duration of the position is for 10 months, from August 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027. The fellow will report to the Academic Dean and will work alongside Dr. George Guthrie. A successful candidate should be able to exhibit a breadth of competency in the New Testament, including its relation to the whole canon of Scripture and to Christian Theology. Further, the candidate will be committed to Regent’s ethos of interdisciplinary studies, especially with relation to faith and culture, and to Regent’s ethos of mentoring and involvement with students.
The salary range for this position is $77,000–$79,257 per annum.
Responsibilities:
The duties of the fellowship include the following:
- Teaching. The fellow will teach 2-3 courses (in dialogue with the Registrar and Dr. Guthrie).
- Supervision. The fellow will likely aid in the supervision of master’s level theses, major papers, comprehensive exams, and/or independent studies in the area of New Testament.
- Research. The fellow will be given time to work on research and writing towards publication.
- Participation. The fellow will participate in the life of Regent College by attending monthly faculty meetings and faculty forums, by mentoring students, and by attending other community activities (e.g., chapel services, retreats, community events, etc.).
Qualifications:
In order to be considered for this position, applicants should have completed a PhD in New Testament (by August 2026) and already be eligible to work in Canada. Since Regent College is a Christian graduate school that is both evangelical and orthodox, the successful candidate will be expected to subscribe to the College’s Theological Position, which contains both a Doctrinal Statement and a Moral Vision Statement.
