Summer Travel Scholarships For Ministers
- The scholarship shall be awarded to an individual in full-time vocational ministry (church, parachurch, mission organization, etc.) who wishes to travel to Regent College in the spring or summer in order to take a course or courses.
- The scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of proven financial need.
- The scholarship is not available to full-time students, or to pastors who are applying to Regent for full-time studies commencing in the fall. The candidate must be returning following the summer to their full-time ministry position for a minimum of a year.
- Preference shall be given to pastors and ministers working in Asia.
A scholarship of $4,000 shall be divided at the discretion of the Financial Aid Committee between two individuals for the purpose of attending Regent College’s Spring or Summer Programs. The funding will be pro-rated to reflect the two individuals’ respective travel and lodging costs.
Candidates must submit a personal profile, documenting their Christian journey, a description of their current ministry and the challenges they face, and an explanation of the Spring or Summer courses they wish to take and why those courses will enhance the candidates’ ministry.
Recipients will be expected to write a report upon the conclusion of their courses, documenting their experience of Regent College and its community, their classroom experience, the ways in which they have been refreshed and recharged, and a description of the course content and how it has enhanced their ministry or encouraged them in their vocation.
