Bryan Burton has been in pastoral ministry and has been teaching at the graduate and post-graduate level for over twenty-five years. He served as a pastor in Wisconsin, Southern California, Minnesota, Northern Ireland, Metropolitan New York City, and Seattle. He is ordained in the Presbyterian Church USA and is currently serving as a Senior Pastor in the denomination and as Professor of Theology and Ministry and Fuller Seminary and Regent College. During those same years, Dr. Burton also taught at Bethel Seminary, Queen’s University Belfast, Drew University and Princeton Seminary, Fuller Seminary, Carey Theological College, and, of course, Regent College. His focus has been in systematic/historical theology, ethics, pastoral ministry, and worship and culture. He has published several articles in a wide variety of periodicals and edited works. Dr. Burton has several works to be published in the near future. His area of specialization is the theology of Karl Barth and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. His passion is to educate, equip, and encourage all of God’s people to live out their calling as disciples of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, Dr. Burton has been married to Caroline for 30 years and they have two adult children, Mark and Claire.
