David I. Smith is the director of the Kuyers Institute for Christian Teaching and Learning Center and the director of Graduate Studies in Education at Calvin College in Grands Rapids, MI. He serves as senior editor of the Journal of Education and Christian Belief and has published widely in both scholarly and popular venues on Christian education. Dr. Smith works with Christian educators worldwide on the relationship between Christian faith and pedagogy. His most recent book, co-edited with James K.A. Smith, is Teaching and Christian Practices: Reshaping Faith and Learning (Eerrdmans, 2011).
