The campus of the University of British Columbia (UBC) is located on a peninsula overlooking the ocean. Regent students have access to many recreational facilities, a world-class concert hall, and a number of museums and art galleries on the UBC campus.

Regent and UBC are surrounded by Pacific Spirit Park, a forest of giant trees with trails for walking, running, and biking. Vancouver has many popular green spaces, such as Stanley Park, Capilano Park, and Van Dusen Gardens.

The beaches on the west side of Vancouver, such as Spanish Banks, are accessible by foot from Regent. Enjoy a game of beach volleyball, learn to windsurf, or just relax in the sand with a book.

The city of Vancouver is known for its postmodern architecture and for its backdrop of mountains and sea. The sea wall offers 22 km (13.7 miles) of paved trails for walking, running, biking, or rollerblading alongside the ocean. There is simply no excuse for being inactive in this city!

There is so much to do beyond Vancouver: skiing or snowboarding in Whistler, running along a deserted beach in Tofino, hiking to glacial lakes in Garibaldi Provincial Park, sampling the wines of the Okanagan Valley, exploring the Gulf Islands, mountain biking on the North Shore, or visiting the nearby city of Seattle.
