Mary Beth Lascurain
What began as a side hobby studying Biblical Hebrew eventually led to formal study at Regent College, where she earned her MATS in Biblical Languages and ThM in Old Testament. Mary Beth’s interests include communicative-oriented biblical language pedagogy; the interconnectedness of theology of scripture, hermeneutics, and linguistics; and the use of statistics in biblical studies. Her recent ThM thesis explored lexically-triggered Biblical Hebrew word order from the perspective of binomial statistics, and she hopes to build on this research in further studies. Mary Beth and her husband currently live in Wolfville, NS.
