Beginning in ancient Rome and ending in Renaissance Florence, this trip will trace the development of Christian life and devotion through the centuries from the era of persecution through to the Christian society of the late middle ages and early Renaissance. From the catacombs in Rome to the Florentine world of Dante, we will see before our eyes in the physical remains of architecture and art the transition of Christianity from a persecuted sect to unique civilization.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

This course incorporates two parts with special registration requirements:

1. A tour with Christian Journeys; and
2. A Regent College course that builds on the tour and incorporates extra coursework. This course can be taken for academic credit only; there is no audit option.

All tour participants will receive a rich academic and spiritual experience incorporating academic lectures, immersive experiences, and a spiritual retreat. Those wishing to receive academic credit will also complete assigned reading and extra coursework. The quantity of coursework depends on whether the student opts to register for 1, 2, or 3 credits.

Everyone registered for the Christian Journeys tour is guaranteed a spot in the course if they wish to take it; however, they must complete separate registration processes for the tour and the course.

2. Course registration:

Registration for the course will open on February 19, 2020, at 12 pm. Every person registered for the tour with Christian Journeys will be given the opportunity to register for the course if they wish to do so. 

No one will be permitted to take the course unless they are also registered for the Christian Journeys tour. Participation in the tour is a course requirement.
