LIVING WELL FORUM

Living Well Forum: The Spiritual Life of Theological Students

Wednesday, Nov 6, 2019 at 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (Pacific Time)

This event has now ended. Please view this page to see all our upcoming events.

By this time of the year you may be feeling very different than you did in September, when the term was just beginning. Perhaps you arrived spiritually thirsty, looking to drink deeply from the well of theological education during your time at Regent College. But now, come late October, you’re feeling instead like you’ve been trying to take a drink from a fire hydrant. And you’re aware that there are particular spiritual challenges that come with being a graduate theological student.

In this forum, Bruce Hindmarsh will examine some of the occupational hazards (“workplace safety issues”) that come with the study of theology, suggest some practical ways to stay healthy spiritually, and consider what it means to cultivate theological virtue alongside theological knowledge—even in the midst of mid-term exams and with paper deadlines looming.

Living Well Forums are hosted by the Dean of Students Office.
