Why Adobe Acrobat?

As you use the Regent College site you will discover that many of our documents (such as forms, timetable, brochures, etc.) are available only in Adobe Acrobat format, also known as PDF (Portable Document Format) files. We have chosen Acrobat for a few reasons:

What is Acrobat?

The Portable Document Format (PDF) is the standard for distribution and exchange of electronic documents and forms around the world. PDF is a universal file format that preserves the fonts, images, graphics, and layout of any source document, regardless of the application and platform used to create it. Adobe PDF files are compact and complete, and can be shared, viewed, and printed by anyone with free Adobe Reader software.

Help! I Have Acrobat But Can't Read the Files

The cause for this is usually an old version of Acrobat. Most of the documents are formatted for version 4.0 and above. If you are having difficulty viewing a file we suggest that you first try to download the latest version of the software using the link above. If after that you are still experiencing difficulties please contact the Regent webmaster at webmaster@regent-college.edu.
