News Archive - October 2006Campaign Donations and PledgesEarlier this month, through your prayers and generous giving, we reported that $13.8 million in gifts and pledges has been raised to date! While the remaining amount is still a stretch for us, we are so grateful for your partnership and look forward to completing the projects debt-free.
Construction UpdateLibrary construction is moving along at an incredible pace - still on budget and still scheduled for completion in December this year. Major renovations to the current library space will begin - with an estimated completion date of summer 2007. We are looking forward to a "Grand Opening Celebration" in September 2007. News from Around the CollegeNew students are settling into the fall term. Chapel services and community groups are drawing the community closer. And the Laing Lecture series was a success with Miroslav Volf speaking to a packed chapel and overflow area for all three talks in the series "A Voice of One's Own: Public Faith in a Pluralistic World." The art glass will be installed in the coming month, and we are looking forward to Toronto-based, stained-glass artist, Sarah Hall, visiting in January to talk about the wind tower project in more detail.
