A New LibraryCOST: 9.3 MILLIONThe expanded library will be built under the park at the north end of the College and will be approximately 28,500 square feet—about 2.5 times the current library space of 10,690 square feet. It will accommodate an expanding collection of books, periodicals and special collections for at least 25 years, and will provide much more space for student study carrels and work-tables. Natural light will illuminate this state-of-the-art facility through a series of skylights and reflective pools. From the lower level, the library will connect to the atrium by an expansive staircase. The library will be seen from all three levels of the College, increasing the visibility of this tremendous resource. Once library construction is complete, a beautiful park will be re-built above it, extending Regent’s welcoming hand to the larger university community.
