Linda Holmlund MATS 2018, Christianity and the Arts / Painter, Canada Regent filled great gaps in my understanding of who God is, who I am, and how Scripture, prayer, worship, and daily life are the media God uses to re-create a truly human being, unified and whole at last. One huge gap for me was how best to understand my desire to paint, to portray beauty. Are such longings a luxury, a self-indulgence? Or is art one way God speaks to us and through us about the beauty of this world? I came to realize that my desire to participate in God’s beauty is a calling.
