Summer School Prayer Retreats

Regent College invites you to deepen your capacity to listen and respond to God. Two guided prayer retreats are scheduled as part of this year’s Summer School. Join R. Paul Stevens or James Houston or both.

The retreats are held at St. Helen’s Anglican Church, which is close to Regent College and is situated opposite a scenic park with panoramic views of the water, the city and the mountains, and within walking distance of the beaches. Each prayer retreat will include teaching, guided silent prayer and lunch. Fasting during lunch is optional.

MAY 17, 2008
R. Paul Stevens

Professor Emeritus, Marketplace Theology, Regent College.
BA, BD (McMaster University), DMin (Fuller Theological Seminary).

Dr. Stevens’s primary focus in teaching and writing is equipping the whole people of God for leadership. His most recent publications include Down-to-Earth Spirituality: Encountering God in the Ordinary, Boring Stuff of Life (InterVarsity Press, 2003) and Doing God’s Business: Meaning and Motivation for the Marketplace (Eerdmans, 2006).

This retreat will be a dedicated time of reflection and silent prayer with one half hour of teaching to be followed by an hour of silence. The teaching and prayer will be organized around phrases in the Lord’s Prayer. Come expecting God to meet you.
