The Laing Lectures

John Stackhouse on the Laing Lectures:

"The Laing Lecturers are nominated by the Regent faculty. We discuss the various nominees together and then vote on those whom we want the President to invite. In our last round, we were delighted that our top three choices all agreed to come: Miroslav Volf, Nicholas Wolterstorff, and Walter Brueggemann. These distinguished scholars represent three different disciplines (theology, philosophy, and Biblical studies) and all of them address publics broader than the academy, as Laing Lecturers are expected to do."

We will announce the 2009 Laing Lecturer as soon as the information becomes available.
