The Marketplace Institute researcher will provide excellent research and article production for the four focal areas of the MI: Business and Economics, Environment, Science, and Society and Politics.

Employment dates: January - December 2015 (with potential to extend into 2016), 10 hrs per week

  • Research relevant content for subsequent posting on MI website and media channels
  • Write summary pieces and questions to stimulate interaction with content postings
  • Write book review on notable books within the field
  • Coordinate image usage and other formatting needed for final publishing of content
  • Edit articles and other content pieces for grammar and style
  • Post articles online and via social media channels
  • Act as point of contact for content providers within your research areas
  • Other project duties as assigned
  • Has excellent written communication and research skills
  • Is able to think integratively and theologically about culture with an interest in at least two of the following areas: business and economics, society and politics, science, and the environment
  • Preferably, will have a working knowledge of current literature and practice in two of the four areas
  • Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Must be responsible and reliable
  • Have a BA (or post-secondary education and special training/certification in relevant field)
