NT Book Study: Matthew

This course presents an approach to the study of Matthew’s Gospel, with an emphasis on literary analysis, intertextuality and the Jewish Scriptures, theological reflection, and integration to life and ministry. We seek to grasp the basic content and message of this Gospel, to discern Matthew’s emphases in comparison with the other Synoptics and John, and especially to probe deeply his witness to Jesus, so that we might understand and live the gospel calling of Jesus more effectively.
