JUNE 13-15
- !IMMEDIATE NOTICE - APRIL 11, 2008!
Freswick Castle, Scotland
The Regent Alumni Gathering at Freswick Castle, Scotland - June 13-15, 2008 - has been postponed.

Our plans to have a weekend gathering with our friends at Freswick Castle will need to be postponed until 2009 or 2010. Freswick Castle owner & host, Murray Watts, along with resident artist & host, Monique Sliedrecht, have encounted some unforseen issues related to the Castles extensive renovation project due to begin this year. We do want all our alumni to know that we hope to arrange for another gathering in the future - perhaps the summer of 2009 or 2010 - but until then, we ask you to remember our friends at Freswick, and look forward to a time when we can build connections with their ministry and hospitality in the far north of Scotland.

Below is a portion of Murray Watt's letter, April 10, 2008.

We have been so looking forward to the Regent Reunion here in June, but a problem has arisen. There has been a very serious setback on the works schedule on the restoration renovation project on the Castle, and we desperately need works to start in June in order to have the Castle ready for the summer of 2009. We also learnt today that the main extra accomodation we need for your group (a large house in the village) in not available to us at all in June.

We are sincerely sorry to pull back from such an important gathering. We really want to establish a deep connection with Regent and with the UK alumni here. I hope we can make this right with you all eventually, with a grand gathering in a renovated Freswick Castle late next year or the year after.

Murry Watts,
Freswick Castle & The Wayfarer Trust

JULY 25-27
Regent College, Vancouver, BC
REGENT COLLEGE ALUMNI "Early Years" REUNION WEEKEND

Remember Regent in its humble beginnings...in the basement of VST and later the frat houses and portable? Remember when the bookstore was just a room? Remember the accordion curtian in the "big classroom?" Remember the inspired teaching, the depth of inquiry, the challenging discussions, the rich prayer times, the geniune friendship? If you remember Regent back then, and were student, facutly or staff, then join us to reminisce and reconnect. This will be a weekend to remember!
