2012 Tuition Reduction Announcement

2011-10-18 Regent College President Rod Wilson announced today a decision to decrease tuition fees for the upcoming 2012-13 academic year. Regent will cut tuition rates by 8.6% for credit courses, effective May 1, 2012.

The Passing of Harry Robinson

2011-04-08 We are sad to report the passing of The Rev. Dr. Harry S.D. Robinson. Harry Robinson was a long-time friend of the College and served on the Regent Board of Governors from Fall 1991 to Fall 1997. He was also the first chaplain of our Anglican Studies program from 1996 to 2004. Regent Professor of Church History Don Lewis worked closely with Harry Robinson over the years and has written a tribute to his life.

Regent College Announces No Tuition Increase

2011-03-15 Regent College President Rod Wilson announced today that tuition fees will not rise for the upcoming 2011-12 academic year. This will not be a common move among North American graduate schools and seminaries; at a time when many ATS schools are raising tuition between 2 and 10 percent annually, this is a major departure for a leading theological school.

2009-08-24 In his third encyclical, Caritas in Veritate (Love in Truth), Pope Benedict XVI invites deeper thinking about economic life, and in particular about economic development in the context of globalization. Sixty-eight evangelical leaders from four continents have released a statement responding to the encyclical, including including Regent College professors' Paul Williams (who helped draft the document) and John G. Stackhouse, Jr..

Paul Stevens Interviewed on "The Spirituality of Canoeing"

2009-08-09 Paul Stevens (Regent College Professor Emeritus of Marketplace Theology and Leadership) was recently interviewed on CBC's Tapestry program on "The Spirituality of Canoeing". Based on an essay Paul wrote called The Song of the Paddle, he outlines four reasons why he believes that canoeing is a spiritual experience. The essay is included in Northern Lights: An Anthology of Contemporary Christian Writing in Canada. Paul's interview begins around the 35 minute mark of the program.

Darrell Johnson Accepts New Position

2009-07-03 Darrell W. Johnson, Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Regent College has resigned from his full-time post at the College to accept the call of Vancouver's First Baptist church to return to pastoral ministry. He will assume the position of Senior Minister at First Baptist September of this year, but will continue to teach one class per semester at Regent College for at least one year.

Rod Wilson's Term as President of Regent College Extended

Regent Student Accepted as Ministry Fellow for the Fund for Theological Education

2009-05-12 Regent student Kristopher Walhof has been accepted as a Ministry Fellow for the Fund for Theological Education. Ministry Fellowships provide financial support to enhance the formation of ministerial leadership for second-year seminarians. Students must be nominated by the dean or president of their seminary. Ministry Fellows participate in a Congregational Leadership Intensive and attend the FTE Conference on Excellence in Ministry. Congratulations to Kristopher!
