Regent Film Makes It to Finals of ICVM Crown Awards
The documentary Between a Shoe and the Roof, produced by Regent College and created by alumni Theran Knighton-Fitt and Melanie Brown, is one of the finalists in the Crown Awards given out by the International Christian Visual Media Association (ICVM). The film explores the many different cultural expressions of the gospel of Christ throughout the world.
There were 72 titles in total submitted to the awards, which made for some very intense competition within the various categories. Between a Shoe and the Roof has made it to the Final Nominations level of the competition in the category for Best Documentary Under $50,000.
From the Final Nominations for each category, the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Crown Award winners will be announced on Saturday, June 27 at the Crown Awards Banquet at the ICVM Conference in Kissimmee, Florida.
The International Christian Visual Media Association (ICVM), based in Colorado, USA, is a community of Christians involved in bringing the message of Christ to the world through the use of media. The ICVM annual Crown Awards are designed to recognize excellence in production and content of films and videos that are created to reflect Christian values in a secular world. Films can be nominated in 17 different categories.
