Dr. Hans Boersma will be lecturing on themes from his recent book Embodiment and Virtue in Gregory of Nyssa: An Anagogical Approach. Boersma will explore the much-debated themes of embodiment in Gregory of Nyssa's thought, and argue that Gregory only values embodiment inasmuch as it enables us to grow in virtue and participate in the divine life.
